Join Justice - The Public Face of Love
SPID Theatre's play The Burning Tower dramatises the Grenfell Tower fire as a symbol of the interconnected housing, race, youth and climate injustice trapping us all. Having sued Grenfell's landlord for negligence, SPID is calling for worldwide legislation to safeguard our children, bodies, minds and planet and save social housing.
The charity believes that the worldwide trade of goods, data and people is fueling the exploitation of the vulnerable and the managed decline of our mental and physical health.
Join us in our call to hear our history, make futures fair, end profit from pain and feel better!
Pledge
A safe home should be the planet we share.
A safe home should be what young people inherit.
A safe home should be where history lives on.
A safe home should be for everyone.
Resist
It can not be legal to destroy the earth, our home, flying in what we don’t need or could grow ourselves.
It can not be legal for big tech to monetise death threats that hurt the vulnerable most.
It can not be legal for huge conglomerates to pay nothing towards the earth's future care.
It can not be legal for developing countries with low carbon footprints to subsidise the west.
Insist
Justice is the public face of love- Free trade should not be destroy the earth.
Justice is not vengeance- Hate speech is not free speech.
Unearned wealth is not just- free markets should not enslave.
Exploitation is not love- The future is not tax free.
Demand
Climate Justice -- Home grow; ban plastics and extraction.
Housing Justice -- Stop the hate and ban the troll farms.
Youth Justice -- Tax the multinationals and share the proceeds.
Race Justice -- Global minimum wage and reparations.
