This week at SPID we continued filming properly for our documentary! We started off with a game of Chinese Whispers… Did you know that unicorns are real?
Anyway, the children worked with light, sound and the camera while the others were being interviewed. Everyone was part of the experience. They also learned the importance of being quiet on set and how to work together behind the camera to help the person in front. They had to think about questions like “How would you describe yourself in 3 words” and ‘What do you do in your free time.’
They learned how to be more confident in front of the camera through this, and expanded more on their improvisation.
Personally, I learned the importance of everyone’s role on the set. Everyone has to help each other in order to create the best possible outcome! I think this is a vital skill which the children could apply to everyday situations in life.
