Ivy is a site-specific show by award-winning writer Helena Thompson. Originally commissioned for Radio 4, it was pick of the week in the Radio Times. The play is set in an old building that’s about to be torn down, and will take place in partnership with Southwark Playhouse in a secret location. It concerns a green-fingered old woman who refuses to leave her squat, and whose plants seem to have hallucinogenic powers…

‘A poetically rich, and fiercely-acted performance, resulting in a gripping and emotive story,’ Alba Writes, 4 stars

Wonderful as well as weird. The director, Mel Cook, rose to the challenge of turning a radio play into interactive theatre and did a great job. It was a pleasure to see that everyone involved in the production was enjoying it as much as the audience, including me,’ Player Playwrights

‘The tense atmosphere is subtly taken to a new level, no line in this play is redundant,’ Theatre Bubble, 4 stars
