Our recent production of Arthur’s World at The Bush Theatre received great reviews from A Younger Theatre , Considered Words , Exposure Youth Magazine, Children and Young People Now, and The Huffington Post. Hear our Director, Helena Thompson, discuss the play and our upcoming youth production of Hood on Aculco Youth Radio
iAM received a four-star review from The Public Reviews: “combines entertainment value with a thoughtful message… A lot of thought and organisation has been invested in this show by the community theatre company SPID. It is brave indeed for a community theatre production to require participation from the audience. But it makes a lot of sense as it draws the audience into the action and engages with them. It is a clever and thoroughly delightful show and is well worth taking the whole family to see.” – Christopher Hong

Childsplay got great press! Read EverythingTheatre’s and Third Age Matters’ enthusiastic reviews. The Times Educational Supplement ran a great feature on it. The show was part of The Independent’s Critic’s Choice in their Childrens’ section, featured by the Ham and High and pick of the week by Urban Explorer. The Guardian , Buzz newspaper and Time Out also recommended it for viewing. So did BBC news last year – when Total Theatre magazine and British Theatre Guide both loved it.
You can also read a letter to the Guardian by our director Helena Thompson about the 2011 riots and the prescience of our futuristic youth film affected here, and a feature by Helena in the Times Educational Supplement on the making of Childsplay! here.
